Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu is the 13th vice president of India. A prominent leader from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Naidu took oath as the Vice President of India on 11 August 2017 at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Naidu served as the BJP national president between 2002 and 2004. He has been active in different roles in the BJP party. Naidu has also served as the Minister of Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Parliamentary Affairs and Minister of Information and Broadcasting.

Mr. Suresh Prabhu

Hon’ble Minister of Commerce and Industry, India

Mr. Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu is an Indian politician and the current Minister of Commerce & Industry of India, under the Narendra Modi government. He is a Chartered Accountant by profession and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Since 1996, Prabhu has been a repeatedly elected Member of Parliament from Rajapur Lok Sabha constituency in Maharashtra as a member of the Shiv Sena (SS) political party. He quit Shiv Sena and joined BJP on 9 November 2014. He currently represents Andhra Pradesh in Upper House of Indian Parliament.

Shri. Shiv Pratap Shukla

Hon’ble Minister of State for Finance

“>Shri. Shiv Pratap Shukla is a Rajya Sabha member from Uttar Pradesh and currently the vice-president of UP unit of the BJP. He is a law graduate from the Gorakhpur University. S.P.Shukla’s life as a politician started in the early 1970s when he was the student leader of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and elected as the Provincial Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in 1981. Shukla campaigned in the General Elections in 1989 and was elected a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly.

Mr. Amir Hossain Amu

Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Industry – Bangladesh

Mr. Amir Hossain Amu was born in a noble Muslim family of Jhalokathi district on 1st January 1940. He completed post-graduation degree from the University of Dhaka and started working as a Lawyer in the Bangladesh Supreme Court. During United Front election in 1954, he actively took part in a publicity campaign and was imprisoned for a long time. In 1959, he was elected as the convener of All Party Student Alliance to observe the Language Day. Mr. Amir Hossain Amu carried out the responsibility as the Presidium Member of the Central Committee of Bangladesh Awami League from 1992-2009. Mr. Amir Hossain Amu was elected parliament member as a candidate of Bangladesh Awami League in the 7th National Parliament election. During that time he was the Minister in the ‘Ministry of Food’ of the Peoples’ Republic of Bangladesh

Mr. Giriraj Singh

Hon’ble Minister of State MSME – Independent Charge, India

Mr. Giriraj Singh is an Indian politician and the current Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the Government of India. He is the Member of Parliament from the Nawada parliamentary constituency in the 16th Lok Sabha, and formerly serves as Minister of Cooperative, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Resource Development in the Government of Bihar.

Ms. Soo Hyun Kim

Assistant Economic Affairs Officer – TID UNESCAP, Thailand

Ms. Soo Hyun Kim is Associate Economic Affairs Officer, Investment, and Enterprise Development Section, Trade, Investment, and Innovation Division in the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). Her work covers research and analysis related to investment and sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region. Particular areas of interest include foreign direct investment (FDI) for sustainable development; absorptive capacity and spillover effects from FDI; regional integration efforts and investment regimes; international investment agreements and its impacts on FDI and development. Previously, she served at the United Nations Secretariat in New York. Prior to joining the Secretariat of the United Nations, she worked for a local government and a higher education institution in the United Kingdom. She holds degrees in business administration, library and information science, and sociology from TiasNimbas Business School (Netherlands), Loughborough University (United Kingdom) and Yonsei University (Republic of Korea).

Mr. Hubert Massoni

Research Officer – TID UNESCAP, Thailand

Mr. Massoni is a researcher at the Investment and Enterprise Development Section from the Trade, Investment and Innovation Division, ESCAP, since June 2017. His main contributions to ESCAP activities are related to trade and SME development. Moreover, he cofounded Eurospondents, a web-media on socioeconomic stakes of the EU, in 2017. He also frequently contributed to Toute l’Europe, a media developed by the French General Secretariat for European Affairs, about EU trade and economic cooperation since 2016. Mr. Massoni is a graduate student in Economics and Public Policy at Sciences Po (Paris Institute of Political Studies). His research interests include development economics, international trade, and political economy.

Mr. Dumisani J. Msibi

Mr. Dumisani J. Msibi is an Accountant by profession with extensive experience in banking and finance. He joined FINCORP in 1997 and has previously served as the Deputy Managing Director; Company Secretary; Manager Finance and Credit Analyst at FINCORP. In 2010 he was seconded to the subsidiary company, First Finance, as General Manager with the responsibility to set up First Finance Company which has to date become a well-known financial services provider of the first choice. He has been part of the core team that has transformed the FINCORP Group from its humble beginnings at the early stages to become a reputable development finance institution offering broad-based financial services. He is currently the Vice Chairman of the SADC DFI Network and also serves as the Executive Committee Member of the Association of African Development Finance Institutions (AADFI) representing Southern Africa Region. He further serves as a Board Member of the Federation of Swazi Employers and Chamber of Commerce (FSE & CC). Mr. Msibi was the first Chairman of the Board of the Youth Enterprise Fund for 4 years up to June 2013.

HE Soomilduth Bholah

Hon’ble Minister of Business, Enterprise & Cooperative, Mauritius.

Honourable Soomilduth Bholah is currently the Minister of Business, Enterprise, and Cooperatives of the Government of the Republic of Mauritius. He was appointed Minister in December 2014, following his election as Member of the National Assembly for the Constituency of Montagne Blanche and Grand River South East at the General Elections 2014. He is a Member of the political party ‘Mouvement Socialiste Militant’ and has been a social worker for more than 25 years. As Minister, he has been assigned the responsibility for the conduct of the business of the Government, including responsibility for the administration of the departments of Government in respect of the subjects of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development, Cooperatives and Cooperative Development.

He is a Chartered Accountant by profession, fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of UK, and Member of the Chartered Global Management Accountant of USA. He has 35 years experience as Accountant in the private sector, with enriching professional work experience at Air Mauritius Ltd – the National Airline, and at AirPort Duty-Free. Over the years, he has also provided professional services in the field of publicity, advertising, and communications.

Mr. Alhaji Babale Umaru Girei

President – Standard Microfinance, Nigeria

Mr. Babale Umaru Girei, President of WASME, holds a B.Sc Degree in Business Administration and a Diploma in Commercial Accounting. He attended a number of International programs at IMD International, Arthur D. Little, Kellogg School of Management, Harvard Business School and many other Institutions. Mr. Girei spent most of his working life in Development Banking and Finance. He also served on the Boards of many companies and corporations. He retired in September 2010 as the Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Agriculture of Nigeria after serving for 8 years. He is currently the Chairman of Standard Micro Finance Bank Limited in Nigeria and the President of WASME.

Ms. Meenakshi Batra

Chief Executive Officer, Charities Aid Foundation India

Ms. Meenakshi Batra is a widely recognized global development leader, with over 30 years of experience in development and CSR sector. As CEO, Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) India, a part of Global Alliance, she is spearheading the mandate of ‘giving’ in India. She is among the few leading women leaders of India strongly committed with a mission to empower the most marginalized communities by strengthening local institution systems. She holds an extensive global field experience of directly working in conflict zones, with the most vulnerable communities of India, South and Southeast Asia. She has held prominent positions such as Country Director for Save the Children in Afghanistan, Country Director, Child Fund International in India and Indonesia, and similarly for War Child UK and Canada, Afghanistan. Meenakshi also serves on the Boards of prominent institutions like VANI, Resource Alliance and is an ASPIRE Founder Fellow. At present, she is also the Convenor on the Panel 6, Bureau of Indian Standards, appointed by Ministry of Consumer Affairs responsible for implementation of CSR Standards in India. She has been conferred with the Times Ascent Women Leadership Award, 2016 and NGO leadership Award by CSR Times, 2016 acknowledging her work and expertise to promote the culture of philanthropy in India.

Mr. Kamal Singh

Executive Director, UN Global Compact Network India

Mr. Kamal Singh is currently leading as the Executive Director of UN Global Compact Network India.He holds Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and is also an Alumnus of JNU. Prior to joining UN GCNI, he was the Director General at National HRD Network wherein he contributed a lot and has been awarded many times for his outstanding performance and initiatives. During his stint in AIMA, he was instrumental for launching new initiatives and brought laurels to AIMA’s several initiatives thereby building profile and equity with its stakeholders. Mr. Avijeet Kumar

Avijeet Kumar is a social thinker, philanthropy advisor and an impact innovator, he has been instrumental in redefining the Indian philanthropy sector through his extensive experience for over two decades. He has been bestowed with an eminent title of a Scholar from the prestigious Delhi School of Economics, he is a University Topper, and awarded with esteemed national level research l fellowships by the university and the government of India. A sociologist by training he was determined to implement his disciplinary insights to the emerging challenges faced by the then post-liberalised India. Avijeet belonged to those vibrant civil society voices that emerged during the nineties and comprised an initial league of young civil society leaders in India. She has also taken session for companies like ONGC, BHEL, SAIL, Tata Steel, JSW, Mahindra & Mahindra, GAIL, Coal India, NABARD and other organizations like IICA, BSI India, BSE, TERI & IUCN. Mr. Tushar Pandey

Mr. Tushar Pandey is an independent consultant in Agriculture, PPP, and Social Equity related developmental aspects. Tushar is currently a consultant to Govt of Australia (via ACIAR) on a conservation agriculture project in India, Nepal, and Bangladesh where he is advising on out scaling and private sector development aspects. Earlier Tushar was a part of Top Management of YES BANK where he shaped up YES Banks developmental agenda and strategic interface with the government. Tushar has over 23 years of professional experience with expertise in Public Policy, Governance & Institutional Reforms, and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP). All through his career, Tushar’s work has cut across multiple sectors with the emphasis on Institutional Innovation and Social Equity in growth models. His sectoral areas of interest encompass Infrastructure, Agribusiness & Agri-Infrastructure, Tourism, Education, Sports, Governance, Energy, Mining and Sustainable Development. Tushar has completed several infrastructure assignments including those in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Philippines and Mozambique across various sectors in infrastructure and agriculture. Tushar has represented the Indian financial sector at the G20-CSIRO Food4Growth leader’s forum, the precursor to the G20 Chief Agricultural Scientists’ meet. Dr. Amitabh Kundu

Dr. Amitabh Kundu is currently Visiting Fellow at the Research and Information System for Developing Countries. He is chairing the Committee overseeing the survey for Swatch Bharat Mission (Rural) He was Regional Advisor on Poverty at UNESCWA, Beirut during 2017 and Consultant to the Government of Sri Lanka during 2016. Until January 2014, he was Professor at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has been the Dean of the School of Social Sciences and has served as a member of National Statistical Commission during 2006-08

Mr. Sanjay Singh is Graduated in Ceramics Engg (B.Sc Tech) from Calcutta University (1984) and B.Tech Industrial Engineering from Indian Institution of Industrial Engg, Mumbai. He has worked in major refractory producing companies in India in the field of R&D, product development, applications, and production. In TIFAC since 1988, he orchestrated and piloted major Innovation and MSME support programs besides implementing several other projects and preparation of Technology Studies. Steering the MSME program of TIFAC, which provides R&D and Technical support to select clusters of MSMEs through an approach based on establishing and leveraging academia-industry interaction.  Overall, 40 clusters have been undertaken so far across the country. The program has evolved further into structuring support mechanism for facilitating students interaction with MSMEs towards providing technical support on a win-win basis.

Mr. Rajib Debnath

Rajib Kumar Debnath, with a professional background in Civil Engineering and a Post Graduate Management qualification, has over 20 years of consulting/audit experience, primarily in the areas of Sustainability, CSR, ESG, Supply Chain, and Energy. He had served in leadership roles for over 15 years, in leading and growing the ‘Sustainability and CSR’ service streams of the Indian/Regional chapters of consulting majors Deloitte, EY and Grant Thornton.


He has authored books relevant to Sustainability and CSR, in association with ICFAI. His views, on his areas of expertise, quite often finds a mention in various leading Indian and international business newspapers and is quite often invited as an expert in various conferences, in shaping up Sustainability/CSR policies. He is currently a convener, technical lead and member of various committees set up by Bureau of Indian Standards for development of National and International Policies, with a special mention to development of Indian Standard on Corporate Social Responsibility and an Extra Financial based Indian Assurance Standard, for which he is the technical lead.
